How are the many depravities encouraged by the US system in any way acceptable? I agree with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. that the US needs a revolution of values!

I just came back from the Western part of the US; I saw heartbreaking homelessness; you have to wonder about a system that produces people with no place to go, sleeping on the streets--that encourages the rest of us to just step over them and go our merry way. What system's this?
