Listened to while working on this edition:

Michael Franti & Spearhead's Yell Fire! (we caught some of Saturday's Powerful to the Peaceful and, if you were there, you know the whole event was pretty incredible)

David Rovics' Halliburton Boardroom Massacre (this came out last Tuesday and we can't stop listening, too early to pick favorite tracks but we recommend the CD and will note that we haven't even bothered to watch the bonus DVD, we've been too busy listening to the music)

Ben Harper's Both Sides of the Gun (this CD doesn't leave our CD players, right now we've been exploring disc two but we love both discs)

Neil Young's Living With War (one of the strongest efforts this year and one that we listen to constantly -- but, as Kat predicted, we do tend to skip the last track these days and either move on to the next disc or take this one back to track one)

The Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang (a truly great Rolling Stones disc and, after all these years, that's pretty amazing -- they didn't phone this one in)

Joni Mitchell's Song to a Segull ("Cactus Tree" captures you instantly but we also highly enjoy "Night In The City")

Jodi Watley's Jodi Watley (we were lagging and needed something to lift our spirits so we settled for 80s jam/dance -- our favorite tracks? "Most of All" and, obviously, the hit "Looking For A New Love")

The Cowboy Junkies' Early 21st Century Blues (this is an amazing CD that we never grow tired of)

Ani DiFranco's Reprieve (of her non-live discs, this is the best since Little Plastic Castle)

Bright Eyes' Motion Sickness (favorite track? everyone of them)

Etta James' All The Way (stand out track, "Stop On By")
