All women stand united for the cause of equality, and while I’d love a strong champion for our cause, I’ll tell you right now that Hillary Clinton was NOT that person.

I’ve read so many stories of women whose dreams were dashed on the rocks on the great electoral divide, but now is the time to put this all behind us and move on.

Like many people I assumed that Clinton was going to win, so I went about my life on election night, doing the job that so many people in our society take foregranted, the job of wife and mother. When I rose from bed the following morning, I was told by my husband that I woke him with my joyful laughter.

TRUMP WINS! proclaimed the banner on MSN, and I was overjoyed!

I didn’t oppose Clinton because I didn’t believe in feminism, I refused to vote for her because I knew what a horrible person she truly was, and I refuse to ever support such an evil and manipulative bitch for the highest office in the land. Hillary isn’t the ray of hope she was portrayed as, just as Trump is proving to be different from the resolute leader that his followers expected him to be.

I spent many years in the service to this country. I am the 1.5% of American women who stood in defense of this nations freedom, including a two year tour in the mid 90’s as an advisor to President Bill Clinton while assigned to the White House Military Office. I was one of a handful of military officers tasked with the responsibility of carrying the national football. I carried the nuclear weapons codes, and carried the communications equipment that guaranteed the safety of this nation. Wherever the president went, we went, and we were near the President 24/7/365.

In the course of my tour I experienced many things, and was privileged to live history in a way unknown by the vast majority of society. Unfortunately I was also privy to certain horrors, like the truths about the horrible person that you so revere.

Though a supporter of Bush Sr. in the 1992 election, I learned to love Bill Clinton as a kind leader who cared about the people around him. He was quick with a smile, and a pat on the shoulder for a job well done. He was generally adored by those of us that served him. Hillary, on the other hand, demanded respect, terrorized anyone who dared cross her path, and was known to be intentionally vindictive and cruel. That person you so love once looked at me and snarled “Your turn is coming. What tricks are you going to teach him?” On another occasion, when I was standing in a crowded area and in her way, she screamed “get the fuck out of my way!” Her treatment of anyone in the military, secret service or other agency was absolutely horrible, but she was most cruel towards the women like myself who were just trying to do our jobs.

This nation needs strong female leaders, but leaders that know how to respect others. We need female leaders that are kind and sincere. We need leaders who want to lead to advance a worth cause, not one that only wants to climb the ladder of power to advance her influence and manipulate the system.

You were all sold on a lie, but now it’s time to put on your big girl panties and get back to work. Rather than support the candidate sold to you by the media, do real research and find a leader that will lead by example. Better yet, BE THAT CANDIDATE. Be the champion you wanted others to be, and show us all what responsible leadership is all about.
