This piece is written by Rebecca of Sex and Politics and Screeds and Attitude, Cedric of Cedric's Big Mix, Kat of Kat's Korner, Betty of Thomas Friedman is a Great Man, Mike of Mikey Likes It!, Elaine of Like Maria Said Paz, Ruth of Ruth's Report, Marcia of SICKOFITRADLZ and Wally of The Daily Jot. Unless otherwise noted, we picked all highlights.

"Freakish Katrina vanden Heuvel pops in" -- Having participated in a roundtable the week before last, and foregoing a chapter, Betty decided to give Betinna a dream chapter this week to be sure everyone was on the same page with the plot thus far.

"Tammy's Pigs in the Blanket in the Kitchen" -- Trina's covering cooking, Iraq and music for this post.

"Little Red Betsy Reed Lies in The Nation" -- Ava and C.I. are working on their commentary on Betsy Reed right now and here Elaine weighs in on the nonsense from The Nation.

"THIS JUST IN! BAMBI SAYS WRIGHT IS A "DEAD ISSUE"!" & "THIS JUST IN! BAMBI SAYS WRIGHT IS A "DEAD ISSUE"!" -- Cedric and Wally interview Bambi who explains to them, as he tells every press outlet -- over and over, that Wright is a dead issue. And . . .

"it's still news" -- as Rebecca points out.

"Stephen Zunes, 6 eggs short of a dozen" -- Mike picks idiot of the week.

"Carly Simon's This Kind Of Love" -- Elaine talks music and musical history.

"Two things (Betty)" -- Betty fills in for Ruth and sounds off about sexism.

"Want an answer? Give him 20 years" & "THIS JUST IN! SUPERIOR JUDGEMENT?" -- Turns out Barack can answer the phone at 3:00 a.m. -- provided the phone rings for tweny years first.

Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Working Class Barack" -- Oh that person of the people Barack!

"Carly Simon" -- Kat talks Carly. Her review of the CD was done late last night and is great. Before it can go up, the cover scan has to be uploaded to Flickr but look for it later today at The Common Ills.

"Dana Miblbank explains reality, AP hides" -- Ruth monitoring the press.

"the trash wears a garbage bag" -- nothing like a sell-out from the nineties to step foward and accuse Hillary of being a sell-out. Rebecca calls out the garbage.

"An embarrassing echo chamber" -- Ruth tackles the continued decline of Diane Rehm.

"Road report," "Sing it, Denise and Johnny," "It's not going away," "Friday" and "I love Indiana!" -- Marcia from Indiana.

"I Hate The War" -- C.I.'s Thursday night entry, still the most requested highlight each week. Here C.I.'s breaks it down regarding 'dove' Susan Rice.
