Hey --
Another Sunday. We're done a lot quicker than usual. The credits for this edition are Dallas and the following:
The Third Estate Sunday Review's Jim, Dona, Ty, Jess and Ava,
Rebecca of Sex and Politics and Screeds and Attitude,
Betty of Thomas Friedman Is a Great Man,
C.I. of The Common Ills and The Third Estate Sunday Review,
Kat of Kat's Korner (of The Common Ills),
Cedric of Cedric's Big Mix,
Mike of Mikey Likes It!,
Elaine of Like Maria Said Paz),
Ruth of Ruth's Report,
Wally of The Daily Jot,
Trina of Trina's Kitchen,
Marcia of SICKOFITRDLZ,
Stan of Oh Boy It Never Ends,
Isaiah of The World Today Just Nuts,
and Ann of Ann's Mega Dub.
We thank everyone. And here's what we came up with:
Cindy Sheehan again. She was the person with the most truests in 2010.
Simon Jenkins.
Our WikiLeaks editorial. Covering it meant putting another feature on hold. DS will be addressed next week, sorry to those who have been waiting.
Ava and C.I. take on the homophobia of 30 Rock.
This was an idea we'd been toying with which Dona refined. And it got used for our Iraq feature because the alternative was an article about the two Iraq hearings and Ava, C.I., Wally and Kat felt they'd already written of the hearings last week.
E-mails demanded this one. Again, if she wanted to be a critic, we'd most likely have just replied in private e-mails. Her delusion that she's building and leading a movement -- pointed out by most PUMA bloggers e-mailing us -- meant we had to cover this.
We could have gone on much longer and maybe we should have.
I (Jim) moderated this and we did it while Dona moderated the other piece.
Short article.
Reprint from Great Britain's Socialist Worker.
Reprint from Workers World.
Mike and company wrote this. We thank them for it.
And that's what we came up with. Hopefully, something made you think, made you smile, made you frown, made some sort of an impression. We'll see you next week.
Peace.
