We enjoyed that segment by Amy Goodman on DEMOCRACY NOW! but, after we watched, we saw that Chris Hedges was on RNN doing yet another segment on 'poor' Matt Taibbi. Per Chris, the transphobe was now being targeted by the FBI as well as the IRS.
And we wondered, how many dead people are being ignored to cover Matt and his endless drama? And maybe YOUTUBERS could do a better job by not covering their friends, by not engaging in a reach around, by letting Matt stand up for himself and maybe walk four steps this time before toppling over?
It's a shame 'independent' media too often considers themselves the 'alternative' to corporate media when, for most of them, the only difference is the friends they choose to cover while ignoring the rest of the world -- the people actually in need.
