Remember, kids, it's CRAPAPEDIA

The actress Claire Bloom was on TCM talking about filming LIMELIGHT (1952) with Charlie Chaplin.

Curious, we wondered how CRAPAPEDIA would describe her.

We have been, after all, calling it out for its sexism and racism for almost 13 years now.

And it never really gets better, does it?

Nope.

Take this:

During her lengthy film career, she starred alongside numerous major actors, including Richard BurtonLaurence OlivierJohn GielgudPaul ScofieldRalph RichardsonYul BrynnerGeorge C. ScottJames MasonPaul Newman and Rod Steiger, whom she would marry.

Wow.

According to CRAPAPEDIA, Claire never starred alongside any women.

Who could have guessed?

Except her most famous films after LIMELIGHT would be THE HAUNTING which stars . . . five time Tony winner, 3 time Emmy winner Julie Harris.

Also in the cast is Lois Maxwell, famous the world over for playing Miss Moneypenny in 14 James Bond films.

And she made INNOCENTS IN PARIS with Margaret Rutherford -- the Academy Award winning and Golden Globe winning Margaret Rutherford.

And she made ALEXANDER THE GREAT with the legendary French actress Daniell Darrieux who was twice nominated for a CESAR and whose film career spanned 1931 - 2010.

Maria Schell was billed above Claire in THE BROTHERS KARAMAZOV.

On LOOK BACK IN ANGER, she worked with BAFTA winner, Golden Globe winner and three time Academy Award nominee Edith Evans.

THE CHAPMAN REPORT found her working with Emmy winner,  two time Academy Award winner, two time BAFTA winner, three time Golden Globe winner,  Jane Fonda as well as with Emmy winner, Golden Globe winner and two time Academy Award winner Shelley Winters. (She'd work with Winters again on 1985's DEJA VU starring Jaclyn Smith.)

Wait, we're not done with THE CHAPMAN REPORT yet.

Also in the cast, Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe nominee Glynis Johns (famous forever for playing Winifred Banks in MARY POPPINS).

Tony winner, BAFTA winner and two time Golden Globe winner Lee Remick starred in A SEVERED HEAD with Claire.

In CLASH OF THE TITANS, she starred along with not only the legendary Ursula Andress but also Tony award winner, two time Academy Award winner, three time Golden Globe winner, four time Emmy winner and  five time BAFTA award winner Maggie Smith.

She's worked twice with International Emmy Award winner and BAFTA winner Helena Bonham Carter (MIGHTY APHRODITE and THE KING'S SPEECH).

We could go on and on.

But, hopefully, you get the point.

CRAPAPEDIA states:

During her lengthy film career, she starred alongside numerous major actors, including Richard BurtonLaurence OlivierJohn GielgudPaul ScofieldRalph RichardsonYul BrynnerGeorge C. ScottJames MasonPaul Newman and Rod Steiger, whom she would marry.

That sentence should also include -- bare minimum -- Jane Fonda, Shelley Winters, Maggie Smith, Helena Bonham Carter, Lee Remick, Edith Evans and Margaret Rutherford -- bare minimum.

If women's contributions were truly valued -- truly and equally valued -- the sexism at CRAPAPEDIA would have ended long ago.
