Why we really don't care about Mike Pence's e-mails

mikepence

Mike Pence is the Vice President of the United States.

We're not fond of him.

He's in the news of late for his e-mails before becoming Vice President.

We think the issue is valid news topic.

We think that government employees -- elected, appointed or hired -- should use government e-mail accounts.  This allows communication to be preserved and provides sunlight.

We object to all efforts to use non-government accounts.

But we don't see it as similar to Hillary Clinton's e-mails as Secretary of State.

Hillary was an employee of the federal government.

Pence was Governor of Indiana. We encourage all citizens of Indiana to weigh in.

Whatever they feel is what they feel.

But this isn't a national matter.

Nor did Pence's e-mails have the implications that Clinton's did.

Just last week, WIKILEAKS noted:

Clinton campaign sent access request to U.S. nuclear weapons secrets over email PDF: Email:

Hillary Clinton's e-mails had national and international implications.

The decisions she made were risky ones and they effected the globe.

If Pence was your governor, you have every right to be upset and angry.

But Clinton's actions are on a larger scale and have greater implications.
