Highlights

This piece is written by Rebecca of Sex and Politics and Screeds and Attitude, Cedric of Cedric's Big Mix, Kat of Kat's Korner, Betty of Thomas Friedman is a Great Man, Mike of Mikey Likes It!, Elaine of Like Maria Said Paz, Ruth of Ruth's Report, Marcia of SICKOFITRADLZ and Wally of The Daily Jot. Unless otherwise noted, we picked all highlights.

"Conversation,""Roundtable & snapshot," "community roundtable," "A roundtable," "The roundtable""Chattin'," "Roundtable, snapshot" and "Roundtable" -- Rebecca holds a roundtable with Betty, Trina, Ruth, Marcia, Kat, Dona, Ava and C.I. For the record, Rebecca forgot Mike. On Friday, C.I. said, "I thought Mike was invited." He hadn't been. Mike would end up being the only one posting after Friday afternoon (non-humorous post) who wasn't invited. Rebecca quickly apologized to Mike and invited him but he'd already made plans ("by that point"). Next time she stages a roundtable, she promises to invite Mike early on.

"There was no pardon, Barack (Ava and C.I.)," "Jake Tapper, correct your error," "Call him Poop, er Scoop Tapper!" and "THIS JUST IN! JAKE'S GOT A SCOOP!" -- President Bill Clinton did not pardon Linda Evans and Susan Rosenberg as Ava, C.I., Cedric and Wally explain. Someone tell Mother Jones and David Corn because they still don't get it. But hey, despite the rampant sexism on display this year, Debbie Dickerson wants to play shocked that it could be aimed at her. Get used to it, Debs, you did your part to create it.

"bambi loses another debate," "The debate," "Darlene Hooley, the choice," "Hillary won, Panhandle Media loses," "Hillary beats Mr. Roboto," "Bambi on the ropes," "Barack shows his 'warmer' side" & "THIS JUST IN! OBAMA GRADES HIMSELF!" -- the community weighs in on Barack's appallingly bad debate performance.

"Refugee International, Michelle Obama's TV bits" -- when attempting to convince America that your insult wasn't so bad, it helps to recreate it and have the media show that footage as opposed to when you actually delivered the remark (with your head flying everywhere, hunched over and wild-eyed, looking like the lunatic you are). So Americans largely saw the recreation where Michelle was wearing a red dress, standing upright and and being lady bountiful. The reality has been less seen.

Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "The Unity Campaign" -- Isaiah's comic on Bambi's attack on Small Town America. By the way, C.I.'s not posting at The Common Ills this morning. Everyone on the West Coast has Jim's cold and they're pretty sick. If Isaiah has a comic (C.I. would know), it will go up Sunday night or Monday morning.

"Tavis Smiley and more" -- Marcia on the mob that is Bambi groupies attacking Tavis.

"THIS JUST IN! KATTY VAN-VAN TALKS!" & "THIS JUST IN! KATTY VAN-VAN TALKS!" -- Cedric and Wally sit down with the editor and publisher of The Nation.
