It makes sense for Bolsonaro to try to disconnect his image from the corrupt politicians that voters have come to hate so intensely. But there’s a problem: The preisdent-elect deliberately surrounded himself with these very same corrupt politicians.

The kind of swamp-draining that "right-wing populists" (what the honest call fascists) always deliver. One wonders how Brazil's counterparts of the MAGAs will react when they realize they've been had.

You know Obama did the same thing. Campaigned on getting us out of Iraq, yet spread Bush's War on Terror to bombing over 7 countries that never attacked us. Campaigned against banks & Wall St for crashing the economy, yet Citigroup picked his Cabinet. It's a gross D&R uniparty.

Which may be why the Iraq War continues.

It was easy to call out Bully Boy Bush as a liar and a War Criminal but so many came forward to vouch for Barack Obama and it's hard for a lot of people to speak out, never having been trained or encouraged in critical thinking, they only know how to repeat what they read and are told.

And that's why the Iraq War will turn 16 years next March with no end in sight.
