Highlights

This piece is written by Rebecca of Sex and Politics and Screeds and Attitude, Cedric of Cedric's Big Mix, Kat of Kat's Korner, Betty of Thomas Friedman is a Great Man, Mike of Mikey Likes It!, Elaine of Like Maria Said Paz and Wally of The Daily Jot. Unless otherwise noted, we picked all highlights.

"Roundtable," "Roundtable," "Roundtable in the Kitchen," roundtable," "The Keeping It Real Roundtable," "Roundtable," "Community roundtable" and "Roundtable" -- Rebecca moderated the roundtable and Ruth, Trina, Betty, Kat, Elaine, Rebecca, Ava and C.I. participated. It went up at all the sites participating (including this one), so check it out if you haven't already.

"THIS JUST IN! SENATOR BAM-BAM LOSING IT!" and "Bam-Bam keeps losing it" -- Wally & Cedric's joint post that's a must read. We would love to say more but C.I. came up with a funny line for a feature that'll be up here and if we go on too long about this, we're afraid we'll blow the laugh.

"Norman Mailer" -- Mike grabs the obit beat to note an important passing.

"Iraq snapshot" -- reader Ginny asked Ty that this be highlighted. We agree with Ginny. This is a strong snapshot, especially the section about Watada.

"di-fi the embarrassment on every level," & "Schumer the Betrayer" & "Mukasey & dottering old fool Scheer attacks Nader" -- Rebecca, Ruth and Mike cover the Mukasey nonsense. On Scheer, he is the topic of an article posting here. We should also note that it looks like there will be no illustrations this edition -- not even older ones. Rebecca and C.I. can't log into Flickr despite trying to for hours. That will also mean no new Isaiah comic today.

"30 rock, mukasey, colbert, charity" -- Rebecca runs down a large number of topics -- including which Democratic political candidate's campaign forced Colbert out of the race.

"Bianca Jagger & Marty Trotochaud" -- Elaine covering cluster bombs and inaction.

"Dave Lindorff, Mukasey, Third" -- Jim asked that Mike's rundown of Third be noted here.

"Fred Thompson flies solo" & "THIS JUST IN! THOMPSON'S POSSE MINUS ONE!" -- Cedric and Wally on Fred Thompson: Lonely Boy. Hey, you with the stars in your eyes . . .

Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "When Front Runners Attack" -- Isaiah's comic from last week depicting the 'manly' Bam-Bam and Johnny.

"Kat's Korner: Planet something, but it's not earth" -- Kat weighs in on Prince's Planet Earth.

We had so many problems with illustrations that we've had to set aside three features. The plan is to pick them up next week. They will include expanding on the points C.I. makes in "NYT's Cave should have paid for his own dinner."
